Mobile phones/Smartphones/Pocket computers were a luxury/novelty/curiosity, and the internet/web/world wide web was in its infancy/early stages/primitive form.
Life was simpler/slower/more relaxed. People spent more time outdoors/enjoyed face-to-face interactions/cultivated hobbies. Entertainment/Leisure/Recreation often involved physical activities/centered around social gatherings/revolved around traditional forms of media. There was a strong sense of community/feeling of belonging/shared identity that many people miss/feel is lost/long for today.
It's hard to imagine how things were/life in that era/a world without modern conveniences. Yet, there's a certain charm/nostalgia/romanticism to the way things used to be/that bygone era/a simpler time. Perhaps we can learn something from the past about living more intentionally/connecting with others/appreciating what we have.
